Kittocks Course

The Kittocks Course is the more demanding of the two layouts at Fairmont St Andrews and is spectacularly set on the clifftop above St Andrews Bay. Several holes run close to the edge, with the sea forming a constant and visually dominant presence throughout the round. Although just a short distance from St Andrews, the atmosphere here feels more dramatic and exposed.

The course design blends American-style championship architecture with clear references to traditional Scottish golf. Man-made lakes, deep bunkers and double greens create a varied and tactically demanding layout where precise shots and correct decisions are rewarded. The Kittocks Course places high demands on concentration and control, particularly in windy conditions.

This course is well suited to experienced golfers seeking a challenging and visually striking round, offering a clear contrast to the more traditional links courses in the St Andrews area.
