Designed by Colin Montgomerie, the course is described by its creator as one of his very best – a mark of quality evident on every fairway and green.

Despite its relatively young age, the course has built a strong reputation for outstanding design, conditioning and overall playing experience. It has also attracted significant international attention, particularly from the European Tour.

Since 2013, Montgomerie Maxx Royal has hosted the Turkish Airlines Open – one of the tour’s premier events and the penultimate tournament in the Race to Dubai Final Series. This alone reflects the level and stature of the course.
